I made use of Raevennan Husbandes’ song “More Love” to combine various stock video I’d shot during the Winter snowfall, sunfilled skies, visits from my nephew, my dog and the birds in the nearby trees and bushes. I live in a beautiful area, with so much immediate joy given just by inhabiting a place like Colliers Wood.

I picked this song, initially because it was by a wonderful person, but incredibly mellow, but the more I listened to the song and it’s lyrics, the more apt and wonderful it is.

My logo was designed by Amanda Duncan @AmandaDuncan / amandaduncan.com, for the company Mid Tea. I plan to do photography, videos and more under that name, and as such it features a camera-cup on a vinyl record. Everything I do is between cups of tea, even this update.

The singer, Raevennan (@afrothunderrae), came to my attention in 2010, playing a show with Alex Berger. She’s been one of the biggest encouragements for my live music photography, and I’ve always loved her voice, her outlook on life, and her amazing hair.

The song contains lyrics such as “we’re happy ‘cause we’re free”, “look around and realise, that life’s as sweet as can be”, “but with all this love, I love the life I lead” and most importantly, for my current mindset “there’ll be times when you think you can’t give enough, don’t be troubled by the weight of the world, remember it’s not your burden to hold”.

I put this together over the course of a few hours because I wanted to include videos I had that, to a point, had no purpose. I wanted to create because I have lately just not. I wanted to have something from the day.
